In 1971, there was very little in the way of books, magazines, and especially pedigree information for Labrador Retriever Breeders.
Filling this need, we began compiling, editing, publishing and distributing the Breeder's Directory to Labrador Retriever Pedigrees which later became Julie Brown's Directory to Labrador Retriever Pedigrees.
Each page includes a photograph, pedigree, relevant information such as sex, color, birthdate, health clearances, and of course owner and breeder data and a few optional lines of advertising copy.
This book, now in its 33rd annual edition, has been referred to as the "bible of the breed" and is known throughout the world as the source for pedigrees and photos of contemporary labrador retrievers.
Through the years, we have published a breeders directory for other breeds either at the request of breeders or dog clubs but only the Directory to Labrador Retriever Pedigrees has been a consistent best-selling annual for 33 years. We have done several editions for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels recently and from 2003, our directories are available on CD as well as in traditional book format.
