Dr. Kjellström has been involved with dogs and horses all his life. A retired veterinary surgeon, he now judges dogs and photographs and reports on dog shows all over the world. He has been a judge for over 40 years and has judged in 16 different countries in Europe, Asia and Australia. In the last 12 or 14 years he has published reports and photos for many periodicals including Dog News Magazine, Dogs in Review, Collie Review, Collie Cues, American Kennel Club Delegates' Newsletter, Neogram (Neapolitan Mastiff periodical) and many more. For many years he has been a member of the American Kennel Club Delegate's Body. He has had champions in 16 different breeds. He is also a licensed falconer, hunting with his Vizslas. As a past Master of Fox Hounds, he hunted a pack of American & English Foxhounds for twenty-five years. His pack of Basset Hounds was registered with the American Beagle Club. In 1995, the Rare Breed Association awarded him the RARE BREED JUDGE of the YEAR trophy. He has edited a treatise on the Black Russian Terrier by Dr. Eugene Tsiglnitsky MD from Moscow and written a children's book BOBBY BASSET FINDS HIS HOSE -- both awaiting publication.
